The Different Types of Hair Removal

Epilator - Mechanical Hair Removal

What do I need to do to get started?

Simply purchase a decent quality device from a recommended epilator brand!

Do your research and read the reviews on each to see which one is best for you, as they are definitely not all equal.

How much money do I need to spend?

Expect to pay anywhere from 50 CHF for an entry level machine up to around 500 CHF for a better-quality device

Pros

  • You will get smoother skin and the results might last longer than most other temporary methods such as shaving, creams or tweezing.

Cons

  • Using an epilator can be eye-wateringly painful! If you thought waxing was bad, prepare yourself.

  • If you have sensitive skin then you can absolutely expect it to be horribly painful – sorry!

  • From our patient’s testimonials, there are a lot of epilators gathering dust in the cupboard after only one trial, understandably, they also do not have a resale value.

Please Note: Although we provide information on many hair removal methods,
only laser hair removal is available at our practice.

How Long Does It Last?

You can expect to be hair free for around 2-4 weeks.
